The Primitive Stirling Generator is the first generator in Voluminous Energy. It burns solid fuels to generate Forge Energy (FE).

This page describes Voluminous Energy 0.5 (Alpha 2, for 1.21.1, 26.1.2 and 26.2). All numbers are the default values from the startup config and can be changed there.

Usage

Put a solid fuel in the slot. While a fuel burns, the generator produces a quarter of that fuel's FE/t rating (see the recipe table: every built-in fuel is rated 128 FE/t, so the Primitive Stirling Generator makes 32 FE/t) and pushes the energy into adjacent machines.

Inventory

The "default face" is the side of the machine that automation (hoppers, pipes) uses for the slot by default, relative to the machine's front. It can be changed in the machine's IO settings.

Notes

The config still has a "Generation (Per Tick)" setting (default 40) for this generator, but it is not used in 0.5: the output comes from the fuel recipe divided by 4.
