Diesel is a liquid fuel from Voluminous Energy. It is burned in the Combustion Generator and the Gas Furnace, and can fuel multitools in the Tooling Station.

This page describes Voluminous Energy 0.5 (Alpha 2).

Properties

Form Liquid
Fluid tag #c:diesel
Bucket Diesel Bucket
Temperature 300 K

As a fuel

Combustion Generator

Diesel is rated at 160 FE/t. The Combustion Generator burns 250 mB at a time for 1,600 ticks, so a bucket lasts 6,400 ticks. The oxidizer multiplies the output:

OxidizerFE/tFE per bucket of Diesel
Compressed Air (uses 250 mB per burn)1601,024,000
Oxygen (uses 125 mB per burn)3202,048,000
Dinitrogen Tetroxide (uses 25 mB per burn)6404,096,000

Gas Furnace

In the Gas Furnace, 250 mB of Diesel lasts 16,000 ticks, enough to smelt 80 items (320 items per bucket) without an upgrade.
