The Combustion Generator burns a liquid fuel together with an oxidizer to generate power.

This page describes Voluminous Energy 0.5 (Alpha 2, for 1.21.1, 26.1.2 and 26.2). All numbers are the default values from the startup config and can be changed there.

Usage

Fill one tank with a fuel and the other with an oxidizer. Each burn uses 250 mB of fuel plus the oxidizer amount below, and lasts 1,600 ticks ("Fixed Process Time"). If "Balanced Mode" is enabled in the config, the burn time comes from the oxidizer's recipe instead. While burning, the generator produces the fuel's FE/t × the oxidizer's multiplier and pushes it into adjacent blocks.

For example, Diesel with Oxygen makes 160 × 2 = 320 FE/t for 1,600 ticks (512,000 FE) from 250 mB of Diesel and 125 mB of Oxygen.

Inventory

The "default face" is the side of the machine that automation (hoppers, pipes) uses for the slot by default, relative to the machine's front. It can be changed in the machine's IO settings.
