This page covers Voluminous Energy's feature generation for the 0.5 Alpha 1 releases:

  • 1.20.2-0.5 Alpha 1 and 1.20.4-0.5 Alpha 1/1a (Forge)
  • 1.21.1-0.5 Alpha 1, 1a and 1b (NeoForge)
  • 26.1.2-0.5 Alpha 1 and 26.2-0.5 Alpha 1 (NeoForge)

The values are the same as in 1.19.3 to 1.20.1, except for the changes listed below. The tables show the 1.21.1-0.5 Alpha 1b data.

Changes from 1.19.3 to 1.20.1

All 0.5 Alpha 1 releasesThe two beach ore modifiers were renamed bauxite_ore_shore and cinnabar_ore_shore. They now use the is_shore/overworld biome tag instead of minecraft:is_beach. The counts, anchors and rarities are unchanged.
1.20.2, 1.20.4 (Forge)Common biome tags still use the forge: namespace (forge:is_snowy, forge:is_hot, forge:is_sandy, forge:is_water, forge:is_shore/overworld).
1.21.1, 26.1.2, 26.2 (NeoForge)Common biome tags moved to the c: namespace. Saltpeter in hot sandy biomes now requires c:is_hot/overworld (instead of is_hot), and both Saltpeter modifiers exclude c:is_aquatic biomes (instead of is_water).
26.2The core of Cinnabar deposits is vanilla's new minecraft:cinnabar block instead of Voluminous Energy's Raw Cinnabar Block.

Biome modifiers

Reading the biome modifier table

Each biome modifier is a JSON file in data/voluminousenergy/forge (1.20.x) or neoforge (1.21.1+)/biome_modifier/ using Voluminous Energy's anded_biome_modifier:

  • Whitelisted biome tags: a biome must be in every listed tag.
  • Blacklisted biome tags: a biome in any listed tag is skipped.
  • Count: placement attempts per chunk.
  • Rarity: each attempt only goes ahead on average once every rarity chunks. 0 and 1 both mean every time.
  • Triangular placement: if enabled, heights between the anchors are biased towards the middle of the range, as with vanilla's diamond and redstone. Otherwise they are uniform.
  • Bottom/Top anchor: absolute Y levels.
